How to travel from Antalya to Side

The distance from Antalya to Side is 66 km and can be covered in either public (bus) or private transport (taxi). Traveling through bus from Antalya to Side will take around 1 hour 40 minutes and the ticket will cost you around EUR 8 (including all the route changes). However, the private transfer (taxi) will cost you around EUR 47 and it will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes through this mode. 

It is better to do some homework for any mode of travel you are planning to adopt.  You should calculate the distance from the airport to the Antalya bus station. And then the distance from Manavgat to Side by shared taxi as well. Manavgat is a town of the Antalya Province.

At night time you can only use private transfers as public transport is not available at night time. If you are travelling in a small group or alone, a private transfer is the better option as it will be cost-efficient. You should carry Euros or Turkish Lira when you are travelling to the Side.

Antalya to Side bus

If you want to travel from Antalya airport to side by bus it might bit difficult and time consuming, bus traveling includes two changes, first you have to take bus No.600 which will take you to Antalya bus station through the city center of (Meydan), bus No.600 will take 1 hour and ticket will cost you EUR 1.8. Bus operates from 05:30 a.m. to 01:00 a.m. and departs every 30 minutes.

There are some shuttles departing from Antalya bus station to Manavgat, these shuttles departs four times a day, all trips are in the evening, there is no shuttles available in night, trip duration is 1 hour 40 minutes, and the journey will cost you EUR 6. Remember when you are boarding don’t forget to ask driver to drop you off where you can take a shared taxi dolmus Antalya to Side. Because not all shuttles get to Manavgat bus station.

Manavgat to Side distance is 5 Km, so you can cover this distance through shared taxi, travel duration is 15 Min and ticket cost is EUR 0.5. Remember shared taxi departure is not fixed because they depart when all seats are filled. The total travel is from 2h 55min (from 1h – bus from the airport to Antalya bus station, 1h 40min – shared transfer to Manavgat, from 15min – shared taxi to Side). Total trip cost is from EUR 8.3 (EUR 1.8 – bus to Antalya bus station, EUR 6 – bus to Side, EUR 0.5 – shared taxi in Side)

At Antalya airport you will bus stop in front to domestic terminal exit, bus departure place will be mentioned in a ticket.

If you want to save time and travel in a comfortable way, the best option is travel by taxi from Antalya airport to Side, you can take taxi from airport or you can pre-book transfer online. Taxi trip duration is 1.5 hours, it will cost you EUR 47 (Economy class car) Private transfer or taxi is suitable for those travelers who are traveling with kids, or travelers with large luggage. You can get transfer anytime, taxi will drop you at your Side hotel or your given location, there is no need to wait for hours, just it takes 5 to 10 minutes to book a Taxi. You can find taxi or pre-book transfer in front of the exit of Antalya Airport.

If you want to manage a trip yourself you can also rent-a-car, the best part is you can drop a car in any turkey city (for an extra fee). Rent a car company will ask you to provide a passport, international driving license, and embossed credit card, insurance is included in the rental price, every company will charge a deposit at the time of contract, also they will charge lower price if your rental period is longer. We recommend you choose a fuel-efficient car because in Turkey petrol prices are high, and it’s a risk that you will end up spending too much money only on fuel.
